This Privacy Policy explains how Testlet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services on Google Play Store (collectively, the “Service”).
This Policy is linked on our Website and Google Play Store listings and is available within the Service under the “Account Settings” menu.
We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. This Policy is intended to provide transparency about our data practices to help you make informed decisions.

Your privacy is important to us. We are dedicated to protecting your personal information and complying with applicable U.S. privacy laws and platform requirements, including guidelines from Google Play and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information to operate the Service, provide your account, improve performance, and maintain security.
A. Account Information (Provided by You)
- Email Address – used to create and manage your account, authenticate your login, communicate with you, and link purchases across platforms (web, Google Play, and Apple).
- Password – stored in encrypted form for secure account access.
- User Name – chosen during sign-up and displayed in your account.
- State of Residence – used to tailor exam preparation based on state requirements.
- Secondary Language (optional) – used to enable bilingual study features.
These fields are submitted directly by you.
B. Device & Technical Data (Automatically Collected)
- Device type, operating system, and browser
- IP address and unique device identifiers
- App usage data such as pages or screens viewed, navigation paths, and session duration
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
C. Analytics Tools
We use Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Firebase across both the mobile app and the website to understand how users interact with the Service and to improve performance. These include:
- Device and browser type
- Operating system
- IP address (anonymized where supported)
- App or website pages/screens viewed
- Navigation paths and interaction patterns
- Session duration and performance data
- Referring URLs and traffic sources
- Aggregated demographic and interest information
We do not personally collect or access demographic or interest data tied to any individual user. Google provides this information only in aggregated form.
D. Advertising & Marketing Data
We use advertising services provided by Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) to promote our app and products. These services may collect or receive information about users’ interactions with our ads and their devices. The information collected may include, but is not limited to:
- Device type, operating system, and browser.
- IP address and unique device identifiers (e.g., advertising IDs).
- Interactions with ads (clicks, views, video plays, installs).
- Information about actions taken after clicking an ad (e.g., app installs, purchases).
We only receive aggregated metrics. The data collected helps us:
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

Third-Party Policies

We do not collect sensitive personal data ourselves through ads, and this information is used only to provide and improve ad services.
E. Payment Information
All in-app purchases made through the mobile app are processed securely by Google Play Store. We do not process these payments ourselves. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed (such as purchase or subscription status).
We do not receive your full payment card number, billing address, or other financial details.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create, manage, and authenticate your account
- Personalize exam preparation based on your state
- Analyze usage to improve features and performance
- Provide customer support and communicate about your account
- Process payments and verify subscription status
- Improve security, prevent fraud, and maintain reliability
- Conduct marketing and advertising in compliance with platform rules
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your Personal Information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service, support functionality, and comply with the law.
A. Service Providers
We use trusted third-party providers to operate the website, app, and backend systems. These providers may receive limited information as needed to perform their services, such as hosting, analytics, email delivery, customer support, and payment processing. Examples include:
- Hosting & Infrastructure: Hostinger, WordPress, Google Workspace, Google SMTP, Azure
- Analytics & Experience: Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Firebase
These providers are contractually required to use the data only to provide services to us.
B. Legal Obligation
We may disclose your information to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
Age Requirements
The Service is intended for individuals 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. We do not request or require a user’s date of birth, and we rely on users to truthfully confirm their eligibility when creating an account.
If we become aware (or are notified by a parent/guardian) that a user under 16 has created an account, we will promptly:
- disable the account
- delete associated personal data
Misrepresentation of Age
We rely on the accuracy of the information provided during account creation. We are not responsible for unauthorized use of the Service by individuals who misrepresent their age or identity.
Rights for Teen Users (15–17)
Teens (and their parents/guardians) may request:

- withdrawal from marketing communications

We retain Personal Information for as long as necessary to operate the Service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Non-Material Changes: When we make minor changes (e.g., fixing typos or updating vendor names), we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of the policy.
